NOTRE DAME – The 2012 portion of their schedule ended with an easy blowout win for the Notre Dame women’s basketball team.

The Lady Irish cruised past St. Francis (PA) Monday afternoon, 128-55, to improve to 11-1.

It was their 6th straight win since a 73-61 home loss to Baylor on Dec. 5.

Notre Dame forced the visiting Red Flash into 33 turnovers while only committing 10 miscues.

The Irish blistered the nets by hitting 62% of their shots from the floor and were 30 of 34 from the free throw line.

6 players scored in double figures for ND, led by Markisha Wright's 20 points. Kayla McBride added 19 and Michaela Mabrey 18.

Notre Dame also outrebounded St. Francis 46 to 25 and created 21 steals.

Things will get tougher for the Lady Irish who travel to Storrs, Conn. on Saturday to face No. 1 Connecticut in a game that will air at 4 p.m. on WSBT.
