NOTRE DAME – The University of Notre Dame is celebrating its 170th anniversary this fall.
South Bend’s Center for History honored the university last week for the partnership with the Michiana area, and it’s been 40 years since one of the most memorable times ever in school history.
1972 was when women joined the Fighting Irish family.
