INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis police have arrested a 20-year-old man on charges of murdering his 1-month-old daughter.
Sgt. Paul Thompson says officers arrested Emmanuel Rodriguez-Serrano on Wednesday. He's being held without bond in the Marion County Jail.
Police say an ambulance crew went to an apartment Tuesday and found Evelyn Ricardo dead on the floor. An autopsy has found she died of blunt force injury.
Investigators have questioned Rodriguez-Serrano and a cousin who also was in the apartment at the time. The baby's mother is 30-year-old Elizabeth Ricardo, who was at work when her daughter was killed.
