Some tense moments at a Mishawaka fast food restaurant prompted several officers to surround the building with guns drawn.
According to an employee at a McDonald's on McKinley -- just across from the Town and Country Shopping Center -- a man went through the drive-thru and flashed a gun Sunday just before midnight.
An employee called 911 and several officers arrived on-scene with weapons drawn. Following a search, police tell us one person was taken into custody.
Great, now I am going to have to worry about a teenage kid at a drive through freaking out because I carry a pistol in plain view, yes on my seat and there is no stinking law saying I can't, so I feel better at midnight at the drive through. Now on top of that I might get the adrenaline packed, nervous crap my pants experience of "several officers" with their guns pointed at me for excercising my perfectly legal 2nd amendment right?
Seems like an incomplete story. Potentially misleading and completely open to ridiculous mis interpretations. Like the idiot comment.... based on what?

I am curious what "flashing a gun" means? Does it mean holding it in your hand and thinking "you better get my order right", or does it mean it was sitting next to them in the passenger seat and they were thinking "Man, I hope I don't get jacked sitting in the drive through waiting for my food?"
