MISHAWAKA — A 45-year-old South Bend man told police he was attacked and robbed inside a bar at the 100 Center over the weekend.
The man said he was at Club Sky, 100 N. Center St., late Saturday night into early Sunday morning when he was attacked by an unknown number of suspects in a restroom.
He told police two to four suspects attacked him from behind and knocked him out. He could not say whether the assailants used their fists, a bottle or another weapon to knock him out.
When the victim woke up, he found himself on the floor of the restroom, bleeding from the right ear, police said. He then realized his gold chain and smart phone were missing.
On Sunday, the victim told police he was feeling dizzy and decided to go to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on Monday.
An emergency room doctor reported that the victim had dry blood in his right ear, a concussion, a skull fracture at the base of the skull and a blood clot in the brain, according to police.
It is unclear why the man did not report the robbery to police earlier.
