MISHAWAKA – A teenager was hurt in a car crash Friday morning outside AM General.
It happened shortly before 8 a.m. at McKinley Ave. and Russell Industrial.
The car that crashed hit the traffic control box at AM General’s entrance, badly damaging it and knocking the traffic light there out of service.
The 18-year-old driver was rushed to the hospital. No word on his condition.
The Volunteer Emergency Service Team was called in to direct traffic at the intersection.
Dispatch tells WSBT the teen was checked out at the hospital but fortunately didn't suffer serious injuries.
