GARDEN CITY, Mich. (AP) — While the family of an Ambassador Bridge maintenance awaits the discovery of his body, it's proceeding with a memorial service for the 28-year-old man who fell into the Detroit River.
Kent Morton was part of a crew doing painting and welding Jan. 11 on the commuter bridge that connects Detroit with Windsor, Ontario, Windsor when he fell. His body hasn't been found.
The memorial is Sunday afternoon at John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home in Garden City. An obituary on the funeral home's website says the gathering begins at 2 p.m. and a service is to start at 2:30 p.m.
The Garden City man worked for a suburban Detroit painting company that does contract work for the bridge.
