DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) — A beauty supply shop owner has been killed during the theft of 80 human hair extensions at the Detroit area business.

The Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News report Wednesday that Dearborn police are investigating the shooting at Sunrise Beauty Supply.

Store video shows two men and a woman were involved in the holdup.

Depending on the quality, brand and length, individual sections of hair extensions can cost anywhere from a few dollars to $175 or more.

Police Chief Ronald Haddad calls the slaying "random and senseless."
