CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — A military contractor plans to spend $5.6 million on expanding its operations and building a new headquarters in southern Indiana.

Rivera Consulting Group announced Monday that would build a new facility in Clarksville and expects to add up to 85 jobs over the next three years. The company provides software development services, defense-related applications and consulting to private companies and government agencies.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says it offered Rivera up to $1.1 million in tax credits based on the company's job creation plans.

An Indiana University report says federal military and security spending resulted in $4.4 billion in contracts for Indiana companies last year.
