MISHAWAKA – A double murder suspect who has already served time for murder wants a judge to determine if he's guilty.
Steven Clippinger is accused of shooting and killing his brother and sister-in-law at their Mishawaka home in June.
Police say an argument over a gun led to the murders.
The couple's kids were in the house when it happened.
Clippinger asked waived his right to a jury trial and asked for a bench trial. That means a judge will decide if he's guilty.
The prosecutor also filed a motion changing possible sentencing guidelines. The prosecutor is now asking for life without parole.
A new trial date was set for April.
Clippinger got out of prison two years ago after serving 20 years for another murder.
