UPDATE: Motorcyclist airlifted after S.R. 120 crash in good condition

Elkhart County police are investigating a crash that left a motorcyclist hurt.

It happened on State Road 120 east of County Road 17 just after 7:30 Thursday morning.

Police say the car, driven by Eleanor Kennedy of Elkhart, pulled into the path of a motorcycle driven by Stephen Diehl of Osceola.

Kennedy told police she didn't see the motorbike.

Diehl, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike, suffered head injuries and was flown to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

He's in good condition.

Oh, my goodness...He was wearing a helmet and still received a head injury ?

That can't be...right ?

That's what happens when people pull out in front of a vehicle doing 55 MPH> I can't count how mant times someone has pulled out in front of me on this AND MANY other roads in the area. They also think if they can see you with your lights on WE casn see them! WRONG! TURN you lights on when it rains, snows, fog, ANY thing except SUN SHINE!

I hope the person on the Cycle is OK. AND SUES THE PANTS off the car driver! Apparently the ONLY way these people are going to learn.
