Controversy over something Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock said during a debate last week is not going away. It was a topic of discussion on the nationally-televised public affairs show "Meet the Press."

During last Tuesday's debate, Mourdock said when a woman gets pregnant from a rape it is “something that God intended."

The National Republican Senate Committee's vice chairperson slammed Mourdock for the fallout he's created for her party.

“Well, first of all, talk about bad timing for Mitt Romney’s endorsement,"said Carly Fiorina. "Richard Mourdock said a really stupid thing and he apologized and Governor Romney’s position on life is identical to Richard Mourdock’s Democratic opponent. In other words, in that state, there are two pro-life candidates running, Richard Mourdock is clearly more extreme and I agree, I think, most people disagree with him."

Mourdock is running against Democrat Joe Donnelly.
