It happened at the Family Dollar on Goshen Avenue in Elkhart.
It was apparently taped over the weekend, but now, the hole is covered and surrounded by orange cones.
WSBT learned on Wednesday that what the teen jumped into was an old dry well.
Family Dollar released a statement saying, "Please know that the safety of our customers and team members is our first priority. The landlord of this building is aware of this hole and it is slated to be repaired as soon as possible."
