ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a 20-year-old University of Michigan student was critically injured after dropping 10 to 15 feet while apparently trying to climb down from a second-floor roof of a medical building in Ann Arbor.
AnnArbor.com reports (http://bit.ly/zg1inb) the man was injured shortly after 1 a.m. Friday at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center. Police say he landed on a glass overhang and struck his head. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Acting Battalion Chief Amy Brow says the man wasn't working at the cancer center and it wasn't immediately known why he was on the building. She says people reported seeing him climbing before he fell. Police say he wasn't a patient and was alone.
Police say they were reviewing surveillance footage.
