Mixing education with politics is risky business, and vouchers are but one indication that, in Indiana, government is not doing an adequate job in the education of ALL Hoosier children. The new governor needs to get back to the drawing board and get it right.
I'm not sure Gov. Pence had an idea that wasn't put into his head by the conservative lobby. The same goes for this idea.
Saying that public schools are not great and then deciding to close them is like cutting off your nose despite your face. It also adds a burden to the families that cannot afford to move to another school. It also abandons the children of those families that cannot move.
