ELKHART – An Elkhart man is behind bars for robbing the Chiphone Federal Credit Union in the 1600 block of W. Beardsley Ave.
The Chiphone robbery took place on December 13.
Police say 27-year-old Christopher Coleman is charged with Armed Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. They have also named a second person of interest – 26-year-old Shawn Marks of Elkhart.
Coleman is being held in jail on $75,000 bond, while detectives are asking anyone with information on Marks or the robbery to call Sergeant Jim Buchmann or Detective Mark Daggy.
