COLOMA TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police suspect texting while driving was a factor when a Benton Harbor woman lost control of her vehicle and was killed Monday.
The crash happened just after 1 p.m. Police say 32-year-old Jennifer Hollomon was northbound on Hennesey Road near Angling Road in Coloma Township when she lost control, went off the road and rolled. She was ejected from the vehicle.
Hollomon was airlifted to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo where she was soon pronounced dead.
Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in this crash, but police say they believe texting was.
