SOUTH BEND — The South Bend Police Department secured a $5,000 grant to assist with the 2012 Police Athletic League Summer Tennis Program.

The grant, given by the Midwest Youth Tennis & Education Foundation, a philanthropic arm of the United States Tennis Association, will assist with the funding of equipment, transportation and manpower for activities planned for next summer’s programs.
