HAMMOND, Ind. (AP) — Federal prosecutors want a northern Indiana man who's serving an 11-year prison sentence on child pornography charges to pay about $1 million to one of his victims.

Prosecutors say in a restitution request filed Tuesday in federal court in Hammond that Mark Ontiveros (AHN-ti-VEH'-rohz) owes the victim about $984,000 for her ongoing suffering. The money would help the now young woman cover future counseling, education and vocational counseling costs as well as lost earnings and litigation and attorney's fees.

The Times of Munster reports that amount includes the $236,000 she's already received in restitution from the 40-year-old Portage man.

Ontiveros was sentenced last week to about 11 years in prison following his conviction for possessing and receiving more than 1,000 images of child porn featuring children as young as 4.
