SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) — A raccoon with a jar stuck on its head that wouldn't come down from a suburban Detroit telephone pole is getting some help.

WDIV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/Rf5wbF ) the animal climbed down Wednesday morning after people nearby in Southfield watched for hours hoping that the raccoon might budge.

With the raccoon off the pole, efforts then took place to free its head from the jar.
