NILES, Mich. – Niles police are investigating five armed robberies, all at two Admiral gas stations in the city.

Investigators say a gunman walked into the Admiral at 640 Chicago Rd. around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and pointed his weapon at the store clerk, demanding money. The suspect got some loot and ran from the business.

It’s the fourth time that Admiral has been robbed in less than two months. That same gas station was held up Saturday, December 8 around 10 p.m., October 20 and October 15. The October 20 heist was the only time two gunman robbed the store.

Police say the Admiral at 1701 Oak St. was robbed at gunpoint just after midnight on Monday.

All of the suspects were wearing heavy clothing, hoods, gloves, and their faces were covered with an unknown cloth.

The age and race of the robbers are different and are unknown by investigators.

No one has been hurt during the crimes, but Niles police are asking anyone with information about the robberies to contact the city’s Detective Bureau at (269) 683-0404, make an anonymous tip by texting 274637, keyword ‘tipnilespd,’ or submit their anonymous tip online at www.tipsoft.com.
