INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Republicans and Democrats are looking for help from their party's political stars as they look for a boost on Election Day.
Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock held a campaign event in Indianapolis Wednesday morning with Arizona Sen. John McCain and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham. The senators said Republicans must win Indiana to win the Senate.
Democratic candidate John Gregg spent the day in northwestern Indiana with former Sen. Evan Bayh ahead of his second debate. And New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is pulling triple duty with campaign stops for Mourdock, GOP gubernatorial candidate Mike Pence and Indiana Republican women leaders.
Mourdock appeared with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney at an Evansville event over the summer and former President Bill Clinton campaigned for Gregg and Democrat Joe Donnelly last week.
