A stretch of sidewalk on North Michigan Street in South Bend has been closed after a piece of metal siding fell off a building there and struck a young girl in the arm.
This happened at 137 N. Michigan around 2 p.m.The building is occupied by a law office.
The injury was not serious, an officer told a WSBT reporter at the scene, but there is a risk that more sheets of siding could fall off the building and hit people passing by.
