ST. JOSEPH COUNTY -- Heavy snowfall Thursday overnight into Friday morning has created some travel-related issues for much of the WSBT viewing area.

As drivers began to head out to work or school Friday morning, we spoke to several dispatch offices across the area who said they were seeing slide-offs and accidents.

In particular, St. Joseph County (Ind.) and the Toll Road mentioned they had seen numerous slide-offs.

The cold temperatures and snow is also prompting many schools to either close entirely or call for a two-hour delay.

Additionally, one flight to Chicago and one flight to Detroit was canceled flying out of South Bend Regional Airport this morning.

Drive carefully to your destination Friday morning and remember to give street crews plenty of space as they plow or salt the roads.
