Around 50 Marines from South Bend's Company B will leave Thursday for Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for training.
They are expected to arrive in Afghanistan late this summer.
The group is expected to provide security for convoys, bases, fuel and water stations and checkpoints.
It doesn't matter if you agree with war or not, these brave folks are giving up/putting on hold their lives for the betterment of all Americans and if you can speak English, thank a teacher...if you are reading this, thank a soldier.
