According to a release from Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District, South Shore train service between South Bend and Michigan City has been temporarily suspended due to overhead wire problems in eastern LaPorte County near Hillside Road.

All trains are operating normally between Michigan City and Chicago. 

Westbound Train 14, scheduled to depart South Bend at 8:48 a.m. EST, has been annulled between South Bend and Michigan City.

NICTD will be bussing passengers between South Bend and Michigan City beginning with eastbound Train 7, scheduled to arrive in South Bend at 12:08 p.m. EST and westbound Train 18, scheduled to depart South Bend at 12:59 p.m. EST.

Maintenance crews have been dispatched to the scene to make necessary repairs.
