NEW BUFFALO, Mich. – Construction workers are putting in extra long hours to try to rebuild a well-known New Buffalo restaurant.
The Stray Dog is set to re-open the Memorial Day weekend.
City officials have loosened their constructions requirements so the restaurant can be open in time for summer tourist season.
They are allowing workers to put in longer hours on the weekends.
Normally, construction is not allowed on Sundays.
Last July, an electrical fire nearly destroyed the building.
