PAW PAW, Mich. – Charges have now been formally filed against a southwest Michigan school superintendent who is accused of drunk driving.
John Overley was involved in a minor car crash earlier this month just west of Kalamazoo. Overley is the Superintendent of Lawrence Public Schools.
Police say he had a blood alcohol level of .13. That's over the legal limit of .08.
Investigators say on July 8, Overley went to pass a car on the right after the driver of that car turned on its left turn signal but instead turned right.
No one was hurt.
