TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) — Police in Traverse City say they've identified an 18-year-old man who was killed when he crashed a taxi he'd just stolen.
The Traverse City Record-Eagle (http://bit.ly/11vcKkq ) reports that police say the man killed Saturday was Jeremy Schwierking of Traverse City.
Police say he was thrown from the cab near a Traverse City hotel and was pronounced dead at the scene.
At the time of the crash, police were investigating a report of the theft of an unattended cab about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
