Two people were arrested Monday after Kosciusko County police say they discovered two active meth labs and 18 spent one-pot labs inside a Leesburg home.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department drug task force officers were serving felony warrants in the 300 block of Smith Street when they say they noticed a strong odor associated with producing meth. Upon further investigation they found the labs.
Thomas O. Rensberger, 36, of Leesburg and Kira Margaret Tuttle, 30, of Warsaw were arrested and immediately removed from the home.
The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team was called in due to the strong fumes. The Leesburg/Plain Township Fire Department also responded as a precautionary measure.
Rensberger faces charges of felony manufacturing meth, possession of meth precursors and two counts of felony possession of meth. His bond was set at $20,000.
Tuttle faces a felony count of possession of meth less than 3 grams and one felony count of possession of meth more than 3 grams. Her bond is $35,000.
