GOSHEN – Another big jobs announcement for Elkhart County and this time specifically its Goshen.

Goshen's City Council has granted final approval for two projects related to the car industry.

Elkhart County's Economic Development Corporation tells WSBT the Bentelter Automotive Corporation plans to add 178 jobs over the next five years. They already employ 443 people.

These hot metal stamping jobs pay on average $48,000 a year and is considered high-tech manufacturing.

The GDC Corporation plans to add 73 jobs.  They do interior insulation work for cars.

Those two companies are on top of the more than 300 new jobs expected in the RV and manufactured housing industries that WSBT reported on Tuesday.
