ELKHART – Two robberies occurred within minutes apart.
At 11:15 p.m., police responded to a call from The Hampton Inn located at 215 North Pointe Blvd. According to Elkhart police, two men entered the business demanding money using a weapon. The suspects fled with a considerable amount of money.
At 11:39, Yoder Truck Stop located at 1125 Kent St. reported a robbery where three men demanded money, one holding a weapon. The three suspects fled the scene with cash, tobacco products, and electronic equipment.
It is not yet known if the two robberies are related.
