A update to a story from Friday about the arrest of two LaPorte men following a welfare check on a small child.
A sergeant with the LaPorte County Special Operations Unit says 32-year-old Eric Slayton faces charges of marijuana possession and dealing heroin.
The other man arrested, 20-year-old Aldo Zappitelli, is wanted on a Michigan warrant and a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.
Police made a mistake in their news release last week, saying both men faced heroin charges.
