WARSAW, Ind. (AP) — A Howe, Indiana man faces two felony counts of theft for allegedly misrepresenting himself as country music singer Brantley Gilbert and receiving more than $12,000 worth of equipment and gear.

Warsaw Police say 25-year-old Thomas Michael Barth sent email and text messages that appeared as if sent by Gilbert himself and received $8,000 worth of personalized products and clothing from Robert's Signs of Warsaw and more than $4,000 in musical and electronic equipment from musician Kevin Kyle of Winona Lake.

The Journal Gazette reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/JWK1g4 ) Barth surrendered at the LaGrange County Jail on April 26 and was taken to the Kosciusko County Jail in Warsaw. He's free on $2,000 bond and faces a May 24 court appearance.
