NOTRE DAME – Notre Dame ticket lottery "winners" will be announced next week.

The Orange Bowl gave Notre Dame 17,000 tickets for the BCS Bowl Game.

Josh Burlow, Senior Assistant Athletic Director at Notre Dame, says ND students who "win" the lottery will get one ticket and have to pay $150.

More than 100,000 people applied for the larger lottery for staff, alumni, season ticket holders and benefactors. Around 14,000 tickets are being made available in that lottery.

The deadline ended Monday afternoon. Each applicant could request 2 tickets each.  "Winners" will be announced next Wednesday. They will pay face value of $350 per ticket.

Burlow says winners will be notified on a special university lottery web page.  Student "winners" will be announced on Monday and will be able to pick up tickets at the bowl game "will call" window.  Tickets will be shipped to other lottery "winners" via FedEx on December 17.

Notre Dame players and coaching staff each receive 6 FREE tickets to give to family and friends.
