PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a woman injured in a crash on an icy southeast Michigan roadway has died.
Michigan State Police tell the Detroit Free Press that 69-year-old Janet Fondaw of Belleville died Thursday after being taken to a hospital for treatment. Police says she was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle driven by her 74-year-old husband that crashed that day on Interstate 275 in Wayne County's Plymouth Township.
Police say the vehicle slid up an embankment of snow covering a guardrail and flipped over. Her husband had cuts and bruises from the crash.
