MISHAWAKA — An 18-year-old Mishawaka woman told police that a man she met on an online site sexually battered her in a parking lot in the 6500 block of Grape Road early Thursday morning.
The victim told police she got into the man’s car about 2 a.m. and was forcibly fondled, according to a police report. The woman was able to leave the car and drive to the Mishawaka Police Department to report the incident.
Police say it was likely the first meeting between the two.
Police were able to collect a copy of the online ad that the victim responded to.
No arrests had been made as of Friday. The St. Joseph County Family Violence Unit is investigating.
