Former Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi has agreed to give back nearly $200,000 he received from disgraced financier Tim Durham.
That's according to our news-gathering partners at the IBJ. The money includes campaign contributions and personal loans.
A trustee has been working to recoup more than $200 million for investors following the collapse of Durham's company, Fair Finance.
Durham has been indicted on 12 felony counts, including conspiracy to commit wire and securities fraud.
Brizzi isn't the first lawmaker to give back money. House Speaker Brian Bosma returned $10,000 in campaign contributions. Governor Mitch Daniels has yet to make a deal, though. Durham donated $200,000 to his campaign.
