UPDATE: A Hamilton County judge has decided to release transcripts of witness testimony from the Grand Jury investigation of the Carmel High School battery case. However, only participants involved in the current legal battle will have access to them.
A formal request was made by an attorney representing one of the former students and basketball players, Brandon Hoge. He believes witness statements will help him determine if there are any discrepancies between what witnesses told police versus what they told the Grand Jury.
The Grand Jury investigation eventually resulted in four former students charged with misdemeanor battery charges for their role in attacking a classmate.

A Hamilton County judge is expected to make a decision Wednesday on a request from an attorney representing one of the four former Carmel students accused of assaulting a classmate.
The lawyer representing Brandon Hoge wants to know what witnesses told the Grand Jury. The attorney filed a motion with the court requesting the testimony be released.
The witness statements were part of the evidence that eventually handed down misdemeanor battery charges against the four former basketball players.
Hoge's attorney said the transcript would help him pinpoint any potential discrepancies between what witnesses told the Grand Jury and what they told police.
