Carmel, Ind.—
Brandon Hoge, Robert Kitzinger and Scott Laskowski were all well known Seniors and buds. Fox59 News also learned at least two of them have strong family connections."They've been friends for a long time, " said one Carmel Mom who asked we not reveal her identity.
"I know they went on Spring Break together."
She found a photo of the three posing together in their Carmel Basketball uniforms in what she feels is a questionable provocative shot one of the players posted on their facebook page.
"They're legs were spread. It's a disgusting pose," the Mom said.
"I'm not surprised about Scott Laskowski because he has an arrogant attitude in school," said Jordan Davis, a Carmel Senior.
John Laskowski, Scott's father, was a well-known ball player at IU and played for Bob Knight in the 70s. The player's dad also reports for the Big Ten network.
"Scott Laskowski, was a bully period," said the Carmel mom who's daughter cheerleads at the Carmel High. Robert Kitzinger has a twin sister who also cheers on a Carmel Squad. Their father is a Carmel lawyer.
"I understand he does personal injury law, I would say they have some standing in the community," said the Mother we spoke with.
Jordan Davis says he's known Brandon Hoge for more than ten years.
"I'm shocked at what he did," said Davis.
"I couldn't see him doing it so I don't know if he was brought into it or was pushed into it."
Senior Oscar Falodun was also charged in the case but doesn't appear to have the high profile the other three seem to have at Carmel High. One father whose son plays on Carmel's team says Falodun wasn't known to be much of a player.
All four players were snuck into the Hamilton county jail without cameras able to see them. A jail spokesman said they were picked up at another location and brought in in a van. One officer at the jail commented that none of the players seemed to be taking the charges seriously while getting processed in jail.
For months their names were kept secret, but now with formal misdemeanor charges, all four of their identities are known.
