Indiana University has suspended a student charged with animal cruelty.
The school said Chris Gugliuzza is a threat to the university community.
Gugliuzza admitted that he stole a cat from the Bloomington Animal Shelter this week and tortured it.
His ex-girlfriend tried to prevent the abuse but couldn't stop him. She also said this isn't the first cat he's done this to.
Gugliuzza is due in court Friday to face his charges of animal cruelty and theft.
