Indianapolis

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an armed robbery Thursday morning at a Dollar General store.

Police said three masked men rushed inside the store, located near 38th Street and High School Road, around 6 a.m.

Officers on the scene were told two of the men were armed.

Police said the suspects tied up a delivery truck driver and ordered the store’s manager to take them to where the money was located.  Before fleeing the store, the men tied up the manager and escaped through a rear window.

The victims were able to free themselves and call police.

This is the third time in a week thieves have been caught breaking into stores on camera. Three people ran into Master Jewelers in Castleton tying up employees and stealing select jewelry.

In Greenwood, thieves rammed a car into Elmore's Guns before running off with what they could grab there. Police said there is no information at this point that connects the three situations.

IMPD detectives are asking for the public to call the IMPD Robbery Office at 317-327-3733 if they have any information regarding the robbery.
