A teen was injured after an SUV crashed into a house on the city's northeast side.
It happened around 10 p.m. in the 5500 block of Drexel Avenue. That's near East 56th Street and Binford Boulevard.
According to Metro Police, a black GMC Envoy drove into the home's living room, striking a couch where a mother and her teen daughter were sitting.
The teen was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital for serious injuries to her collar bone and face. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The 21-year-old driver of the SUV is being detained for suspicion of impaired driving.
Members of the Marion County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team are conducting the investigation
