A 21-year-old Indianapolis man is accused of brutally murdering a woman on the city’s west side.
Police said Edeer Avila killed Bessey Martinez-Flores Nov. 4. They said Avila gouged Martinez-Flores’ eyes out. When police arrived at the house, they said they found him covered in blood.
Another woman, the victim’s friend, called police after she hadn't heard from Martinez-Flores.
Police said Avila isn't saying anything about the alleged crime.
