Fire destroyed two homes and damaged two others inside a Greenwood neighborhood Monday.
The fire broke out in the 1200 block of Vicksburg South Drive around 5:45 p.m. Witnesses said the fire overtook a duplex in less than three minutes.
Dry conditions and winds helped the fire then spread to two surrounding homes.
One witness said the fire started in the back of a house near where a grill was. It's not clear if that grill was in use at the time of the fire.
The first duplex was completely destroyed. The two other homes sustained heavy damage.
Firefighters said no injuries have been reported.
