It was an exciting day in Speedway as Indy 500 race fans got to meet a popular driver. Helio Castroneves was at the Shell gas station on North Girls School Road Tuesday, helping fans pump their gas as part of a promotion for the "Fuel My Passion" sweepstakes. The contest offers a chance to win free gas for up to five years along with other prizes.

"Unfortunately my pit stop here is not quite like out there," joked Castroneves, referring to the gas station. "It takes more than 10 seconds."

"Oh, it's so exciting! I love Helio and I love the month of May and the race track. I'm just, oh, I have always liked him. [He's a] great driver and good looking too!" said race fan Mary Rowley.
 
"We are here, no rush. We wanna make sure everything is clean like the fuel and high performance. Hopefully a lucky fan will be happy. Hope you guys enjoy it," added Castroneves.
