Homicide detectives are searching for more answers after they found a 45-year-old woman dead inside her home.
IMPD said Kathy Beilouny was found Thursday around 8:46 p.m. A neighbor called 911, letting them know Beilouny was inside her home bleeding. Her home is located at the 5800 block of North Keystone Avenue near Kessler.
"I was just told someone forced their way in there and when the police found her, she was in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor," she said.
Keegan wants to know what happened Thursday night.
"I don't know how they got past her dogs because those dogs just don't let anybody in," she continued.
Beilouny's friend, Fred Webster, has known her for three years. He too can't believe what happened.
"I just can't imagine anything Kathy would do that could be that drastic (to) go in and cause her harm that way. I think it's tragic because in her (own) way she was a giver," Fred Webster said.
Keegan and Webster both said Beilouny let people stay with her whom she did not know.
"She had a lot of rough times, but she was a good person like I said. You come down the street and you look homeless... she asked you (if) you wanted something to eat....she'd take you in," Keegan said.
IMPD detectives believe Beilouny suffered from trauma.
"If you knew Kathy, she could really be a good friend. She had a big heart," he said.
"She didn't deserve what she got, you know. She didn't deserve that. Nobody deserves that, to be coming in your home and kill you," Keegan said.
