A Marion County Sheriff's deputy is facing preliminary charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication after an incident Friday night within the Super Celebration on Georgia Street.

Deputy Ryan Radez, 29, was apparently identified by the alleged 12-year-old victim. A police report details the 'groping of a juvenile female' around 10 p.m. Friday night. She was standing within a large crowd.

Radez, who works in the jail, bonded out soon after his arrest. He is currently on paid administrative leave.

He was hired by the sheriff's office in 2008. A spokesperson with the sheriff's office confirmed an internal investigation is underway.

The Marion County Prosecutor's office has the case. Radez is expected in court for a preliminary hearing Wednesday morning.

Attempts to contact the deputy have been unsuccessful.
