An Indiana mother was accused of driving impaired with her kids in the car after she crashed her SUV in Sullivan County.
According to police, Lee Ann Bedwell crashed her Ford Explorer on County Road 700 east just south of Country Road 225 North around 9 a.m. Police said Bedwell and her three children were found at home nearly one-half mile from the scene of the crash.
Police searched the home and reportedly found marijuana and multiple drug paraphenalia items.
Bedwell is preliminarily charged with one county of operating while intoxicated endangering a child, three counts of neglect of a depedent, and one count of maintaining a common nuisance, among several other charges. She is being held in the Sullivan County Jail on $56,000 bond.
Bedwell's boyfriend, Earnest Arnold, is preliminarily charged with three counts of neglect of a dependent, one count of maintaining a common nuisance, one count of posession of marijuana and one count of resisting law enforcement, among several other charges. He is being held in the Sullivan County Jail on $52,000 bond.
The three, two and 6-month-old boys are currently staying with other family members.
