A man and woman who police say broke into several cars in Avon may have also be involved in crimes from Henry County to Hamilton County.
Avon police told Fox59 that the pair hit Henry County on Oct. 3. In that case, the victim was a teacher who had left her car unlocked. She’d left her purse inside and found it missing.
iPhone and credit cards. Police said they went on a shopping spree afterwards at the Walmart on 96th Street. Surveillance footage captured images of both suspects.
Investigators said the thefts fit a similar pattern in Avon, where the man and woman broke into cars in the middle of the afternoon. In one case, they smashed the window of a car belonging to an Avon elementary school teacher. They stole her purse and used her credit cards, running up charges of about $3,000.
Detectives are looking for a white, four-door Dodge Avenger that was captured on surveillance video.
